NZ Biker Chicks

Now New Zealand definitely have the right idea! Why can't we have a Boobs on Bikes parade here in Melbourne? If the one in our sister country can bring its people together with one common goal, then that sounds like a pretty positive outcome to me. Even if that common goal is to look at topless women, who am i to judge?
I personally don't mind the odd boob, and i'm pretty partial to even ones too, and i'm sure there are a great deal of men, and women, who would back me up when i say that it isn't pornography, in fact, it is rather sexist to allow men to parade around topless and not women. In this day and age, i would have thought that equal rights would prevail when it came to showing skin. Agreed, in most places around the country it is illegal to walk around town with your tackle hanging out and that goes for womens genitals as well. But men are allowed to be topless in most public areas, and i feel that women are getting a raw deal when they are legally not allowed to do the same.
Surely if a country like New Zealand can have a court ruling allowing such a fine display of flesh, then what is really stopping us? We, as a city, are slowing distancing ourselves from each other and i believe something like the Boobs on Bikes display would give us all something to enjoy, together. Isn't community involvement important to strengthen relations between the different groups of people within our society? What would provide greater interest to most sections of Melbourne? i can only think that the gay male community would get the least out of it, but still may turn up out of curiousity. We have all seen boobies before, and we all like boobies, so let them be free to roam where they want and at the same time, bring our great city together in celebration. Where's the harm in that?
Boobs on Bikes applies to all!
